About the Fire District

The Mapaville Fire Protection District provides BLS (basic life support) care and fire protection services to a 14.2 square mile area with roughly 3000 residents. Mapaville Fire Proctection District is a combination department supported by both paid and volunteer firefighters.  Mapaville Fire Protection District was originally formed as a fire association in 1952 which derived its income from the sale of fire tags and bingo events. In 2000, the Association went to the voters with a proposition to create a fire protection district, and the Mapaville Fire Protection District was formed.
